Nunavut

These downloadable legal forms are part of the documentation needed to purchase or sell real estate in the Territory of Nunavut.

The Nunavut Housing Corporation approved the construction of almost 150 homes using structural insulated panels (SIPs), which can be constructed much faster than traditional construction methods. This is important because Nunavut's climate creates a very short construction season. SIPs are rigid polystyrene panels sheathed with OSB boards, which can be manufactured in larger sizes than plywood. The exterior of the houses can be constructed in 10 days or less. Because the structures are airtight, they keep out the cold, allowing the interior to be finished even during the winter months.
