Ohio Notice of Commencement
Ohio property owners, you must give notice of improvements on your property to all interested parties (such as a mortgage lender) with this Notice of Commencement.
- The Notice of Commencement is an affidavit sworn by the owner, part owner, or lessee that is contracting to have the improvements done to the property, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 1311.04.
- The Notice sets out the first day that construction, improvements or renovations on the property are to begin, and gives relevant information about the contractor, the surety, the property owner, and the work to be performed.
- This 7-page form includes a copy of the relevant section of the Revised Code.
