Dad's Oatmeal Cookies

DAD'S OATMEAL COOKIES Ingredients: 1/2 c. butter or margarine 1/2 c. shortening 2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. coconut 2 c. oatmeal 2 c. flour Thoroughly cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add vanilla, add slightly beaten eggs. Beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Butter palms of hands and shape teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Be sure to roll them LIGHTLY. Arrange on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes.
