Irrevocable Letter of Guarantee (Alberta)

Use this template to prepare an Irrevocable Letter of Guarantee for the Province of Alberta. The Letter would be issued by a defendant's bank to the Clerk of the Court of Queen's Bench. The letter guarantees payment of draft(s) in the aggregate of a specified amount to be paid into Court as security, in connection with a lawsuit. The Letter of Guarantee is unconditional and cannot be revoked prior to its expiry date, which initially is one year from the date of issue.
