Independent Contractor Agreement (United Kingdom)

UK employers, use this template Independent Contractor Letter Agreement to retain an individual to work with your company as an independent contractor, instead of being hired as an employee. Provisions of the Agreement include:

• The independent contractor is responsible for payment of his/her own income taxes, National Insurance and other contributions payable on the contract fees.
• The contractor agrees not to disclose or use any confidential information of the company.
• Either party may terminate the Agreement upon proper notice. The company may also terminate the Agreement if the contractor fails to perform his/her duties or for other reasonable grounds.
• The contractor is solely responsible for any liability arising from the provision of services, and he/she is required to carry public liability insurance.
