Saskatchewan Residential Tenancy Agreement
SK landlords, rent a house or apartment to a tenant with this Saskatchewan Residential Tenancy Agreement.
- The Agreement is for periodic tenancies (e.g. monthly, weekly, yearly).
- The tenant will be assessed late fees if the rent is not paid on time.
- The landlord will give the tenant 3 months notice before a rental increase.
- The tenant is responsible for keeping windows closed in cold temperatures to prevent freezing of the heat pipes.
- Pets are not allowed without the landlord's written consent. The landlord has the right to charge extra fees for pets that are allowed.
- The landlord is not responsible for accident, injury, loss or damage except if caused by the landlord's negligence. The tenant is responsible for carrying his/her own insurance.
- The landlord and tenant will conduct a joint inspection of the premises at the start and end of the tenancy, and complete the Inspection Checklist & Inventory Report included with the Agreement.
- The Tenancy Agreement includes the Statutory Conditions required by the Saskatchewan Residential Tenancies Act.
- The form also includes a sample set of Building Rules for apartment rentals.
