New Zealand Enduring Power of Attorney in Relation to Property
Plan for the future and ensure that your wishes are known with this New Zealand Enduring Power of Attorney in Relation to Property.
- The Power of Attorney allows you to appoint another individual or a trustee corporation to act as your agent (attorney) in matters relating to your property only, under the New Zealand Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988. This authority DOES NOT extend to medical or personal care decisions.
- You can authorise the attorney to act in respect of all of your property or only such property as you specify. The attorney may also have conditions and restrictions imposed on its powers as detailed in the document.
- You can choose if the power of attorney is to remain in effect in the event you become mentally incapable, or whether it will only become effective if that should happen.
- The document contains notes explaining each section and how it should be completed.
- Updated January 2012.
