Notice of Public Sale of Collateral

Before you can sell a debtor's collateral at a public sale to satisfy an outstanding debt, you must serve the debtor with a Notice of the sale.

• The Notice advises the debtor that the collateral pledged as security for a loan will be sold at public auction by the lender to cover all or part of the debt.
• The form includes a Certificate of Service, to record how the document was served on the debtor.
• This is a generic legal form, which is not specific to any country, state or province.
