India Memorandum of Family Settlement re Will

If there is a dispute among several relatives concerning the Will of a recently deceased family member, have the parties settle their differences with this Memorandum of Family Settlement, under Indian laws.

• This document is intended to be used when the deceased has left his property to one heir, but other family members feel entitled to a share of the estate.
• The parties agree that the beneficiary under the Will shall apply for letters of administration, following which he/she will transfer a proportionate share of the estate to the other parties.
• All expenses of the grant of letters of administration and transfer of shares shall come out of the estate.
• The parties agree not to make any further claim under the Will or any codicil to the Will.
