UK Copyright Assignment

Assign a copyright from one party (the assignor) to another party (the assignee) with this template Copyright Assignment under the laws of the United Kingdom.

• The assignor agrees to sign all other documents required to effect the assignment, and if he/she fails to do so, the assignee has power of attorney to sign on behalf of the assignor.
• If the assignor has a Value Added Tax registration number, VAT will be payable on the remuneration paid by the assignee, upon receipt of the assignor's VAT invoice.
• The assignor warrants that s/he is the sole owner of the copyright in the work, and was at all material times a "qualifying person" within the meaning of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
• The assignor waives all rights, including moral rights, with respect to the copyright to which s/he may be entitled under any legislation anywhere in the world.
