House Sitting Agreement
Going away on holidays or business? Hire a house sitter and keep your home safe during your absence with this House Sitting Agreement.
- If the house sitter agrees to look after any pets in the home, the homeowner must arrange with the veterinarian to pay for any necessary care during the house sitter's stay.
- The house sitter agrees to pay a bond to ensure performance of his/her obligations. The bond is refundable at the end of the contract term.
- The house sitter will reimburse the homeowner for utilities and services used during his/her stay.
- The house sitter is responsible for care and maintenance of the premises, and for keeping the grounds maintained and free of trash.
- The homeowner will reimburse the house sitter for the costs of any urgent repairs paid for by the house sitter.
- The homeowner will keep the premises properly insured, but it is the house sitter's responsibility to insure his/her possessions and to carry liability ⁄ public risk insurance as the occupier of the premises during the term.
