Deed of Indemnity re Gift (India)

If you have gifted property in a cooperative under a Gift Deed, the cooperative society will require you to protect their interests with a Deed of Indemnity re Gift. Under the Deed of Indemnity, the donor of the property agrees to indemnify the society against any claims or actions taken by any party claiming an interest in the property and associated shares, and against any loss or damage to the property, or costs incurred by the beneficiary in respect of the property.
