Fried Bananas
FRIED BANANAS
Ingredients:
6 ripe bananas
1 egg
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. milk
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Dry bread crumbs, enough to coat the bananas
Lemon juice
Skin the bananas and remove any fibers, cut in half lengthwise. In bowl large enough to place the bananas in, combine the egg, flour, milk, sugar and salt to make a batter. Dip the bananas in this, then roll them in the bread crumbs. In large skillet, fry bananas in butter or drippings from bacon or sausage, until golden brown. Drain well on paper towels, serve hot with a squeeze of lemon juice.
