JAM JAM COOKIES

Ingredients:

1 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
2 tsp. soda dissolved in 4 Tbsp. boiling water
Flour, enough to make a soft dough

Combine ingredients. Roll out carefully, cut with round cookie cutter or edge of water glass. Bake in moderate (375F) oven. When cool, put two cookies together with your favorite jam in the center.
