If you are a property owner in Colorado having improvements done to your property, you should serve a Notice of Commencement on all interested parties.

The Notice of Commencement sets out:

• the first day that construction, improvements or renovations on the property are to begin,


• details of the contractor, the surety, and the guarantor,
and

• a description of the work to be performed.

The form includes an acknowledgement by a Notary Public. This form is not required by state law.
