Pickled Cherries
PICKLED CHERRIES
Ingredients:
3 lbs. large cherries
2 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. wine vinegar
2 c. cold water
Wash cherries well. Do not remove stems. Pack cherries in sterile jars. Mix all other ingredients together, stir until salt and sugar are well dissolved. Fill jars right to top rim with brine and seal. Keep sealed for at least 2 months.
Yield: 4 pints.
