Residential Sale package with Vendor Take-Back Mortgage (Alberta)
Use this package of documents for the sale of a residential property in the Province of Alberta, to be prepared by the lawyer acting for the vendor in a real estate transaction where part of the sale price is being secured by a vendor take-back mortgage (also called seller financing). In this arrangement, the vendor transfers the property to the purchaser, who makes payments on the balance of the purchase price under a mortgage granted to the vendor. If the purchaser defaults, the vendor has the right to take back the property.
