Property management firms in Nebraska are required to have a valid real estate broker's license. The exception to this rule is for resident managers of apartment complexes who are employed by the landlord.
To obtain a broker's license from the Nebraska Real Estate Commission, you must be at least 19 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, complete the required courses, and have at least 2 years full-time experience as a real estate salesperson. You must also provide proof of E&O insurance and a current criminal history report.
