Making a Power of Attorney in Nova Scotia is governed by the provincial Powers of Attorney Act. The Enduring Power of Attorney form gives your attorney the power to deal with your financial affairs, such as managing your bank accounts, paying bills, collecting money owed to you, paying taxes, running your business, etc.
As for health care decisions, that must be handled with a personal health care directive (also known as an Authority Regarding Medical Treatment), under the Personal Directives Act.
