State Law Governing Lien Waivers
Mississippi law requires specific statutory forms. All forms used must substantially conform to the form set out in the statute.
The law prohibits waiving lien rights in the contract. If a lien claimant tenders a waiver prior to payment, the owner has 60 days to pay after the lien waiver is issued.
