Any contractor, subcontractor or materials supplier who has provided labor, materials, or equipment to a construction or renovation project can file a lien. Architects, engineers, surveyors, appraisers, title insurance agents, abstractors, and landscapers who have a written contract with the owner or agent also have lien rights.
You must file your Statement of Account and Claim of Lien within 120 days of the date that the last substantial work was done on the project.
