A. South Australia landlords cannot increase the rent during a fixed term tenancy, unless the tenancy agreement specifically allows for an increase. For a periodic tenancy, the rent cannot be increased more often than once in each 12-month period. The landlord must give at least 60 days' prior notice before the rent increase takes effect.
