While property managers are not required to have real estate broker licenses in South Carolina, they are required to obtain a property management license. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be licensed as a property manager and 21 years old to get a license as a property manager-in-charge. Experience is not a prerequisite.
You must be a high school graduate (or equivalent) in order to qualify for a license. You also complete at least 30 hours of a property management fundamentals course and pass the examination.
