Texas Resident Manager Agreement

Texas landlords, hire one of your tenants to act as resident manager of your rental building with this Agreement to Act as Resident Manager.

This agreement allows Texas landlords to retain one of their tenants to serve as the resident manager for their rental building. The arrangement is designed to formalize the responsibilities and compensation for the tenant acting in this role.

Compensation

In return for acting as resident manager, the tenant will pay little or no rent for their own rental premises. In addition, they will be paid a monthly management fee for managing the building.

Duties and Responsibilities of Resident Manager

  • Collect rent and late fees from tenants, and issue receipts for all payments received.
  • Issue eviction notices and default notices as necessary, in accordance with applicable laws and lease agreements.
  • Inspect rental units after tenants have vacated to assess the condition and identify any needed repairs or maintenance.
  • Show vacant rental units to prospective tenants to facilitate occupancy.
  • Perform groundskeeping tasks and building maintenance to ensure the property is kept in good condition.
