Issue your lien releases each time you receive a payment on a construction job with this set of South Carolina Lien Waiver and Release forms.
These South Carolina Lien Waiver and Release Forms allow contractors, suppliers and vendors to easily prepare releases each time a payment is received for labor, materials or equipment supplied to a worksite.
State Law Governing Lien Waivers
South Carolina law does not specify a statutory form for lien waivers. Both conditional and unconditional lien waivers are allowed, however, unconditional waivers must only be exchanged after payment, to protect contractors, subs and suppliers.
State law prohibits a party waiving its lien rights in the contract. Additionally, a party cannot waive lien rights prior to receiving payment.
