State Law Governing Lien Waivers
Tennessee law does not specify a statutory form for lien waivers. Both conditional and unconditional lien waivers are allowed.
State law prohibits a party from waiving its lien rights in the contract. However, a party is allowed to waive lien rights prior to receiving payment.
