Quebec Notice to Assign Lease

If you want to assign your lease to a third party, you must serve your landlord with this Notice to Assign the Lease, in accordance with article 1870 of the Civil Code of Quebec.

• The Notice states that you (the tenant) intend to assign the lease to another person.
• If the landlord refuses the assignment, he/she must inform you of the reason within 15 days.
• This Quebec Notice to Assign the Lease form is a free English-language form provided by the Régie du logement.
