Storage Order and Agreement Template
Overview of Storage Order and Agreement Template
This digital template is designed for warehouse facilities to facilitate the placement of goods in storage by customers. It provides a clear and structured agreement outlining the terms and conditions associated with storing goods, including provisions for insurance and payment.
Insurance Order
The agreement features an Insurance Order section. Goods stored in the warehouse are not automatically insured by the warehouseman. However, customers may request depository insurance for their stored goods. Insurance coverage will be arranged based on the customer’s declared value of the goods.
Storage Rates
Rates for storage are determined by two factors: the amount of space occupied and the value of the goods as declared by the customer. Customers are required to provide a declaration of value when placing goods into storage.
Payment Terms
All costs and expenses associated with storing the goods—including legal fees—are the responsibility of the customer. Accounts must be settled in advance of the storage period.
Liability
The warehouseman is not liable for any loss or damage to the goods. Customers who wish to protect their goods should consider ordering depository insurance.
Lien on Goods
The warehouseman retains a lien over the goods stored. This means that the warehouseman has the right to retain possession of the goods until all charges and fees are paid in full by the customer.
Format Availability
This template is available in MS Word format for ease of use and digital accessibility.
