Company Privacy Policy - PIPEDA | Canada

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), as of January 1, 2004 every organization that conducts business in Canada which collects, uses or discloses personal information in the course of its commercial activities must adopt a privacy policy such as this one.
This policy template addresses the collection, retention and dissemination of personal information from the company's employees and customers.
The policy describes the company's obligations and procedures with respect to each of the 10 principles of fair information practices set out in the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information.
Any customer or employee that has concerns about the company's compliance with the principles can take their concerns to the Privacy Compliance Officer in the manner set out in the policy statement.
