Washington Self Storage Rental Agreement

  • The unit renter must provide a list of the contents of the unit, together with approximate value and the names of any lienholders or other parties with a claim on any of the contents.
  • The renter must supply its own locks and obtain its own contents insurance. The insurance must be of sufficient value and must be maintained throughout the term of the rental.
  • The renter may only access the unit during the owner's hours of business, and only if he/she is not in breach of the contract.
  • The storage facility has a lien on the unit contents in the event of default by the unit renter, in accordance with State laws.

Ontario Vehicle Storage Contract

Create a Vehicle Storage Contract for your customers with this easy-to-use template for Ontario.

  • The rental cycle is month to month, until the customer gives notice of its intent not to renew or the facility terminates the agreement for cause.
  • The agreement form provides for late fees and additional charges for cleaning, damage repairs and the like.
  • The Repair and Storage Liens Act Ontario gives the facility owner statutory lien rights over the vehicle and items stored in the unit, which may be exercised if the customer fails to pay rent or perform its other obligations under the contract.
  • The storage unit is to be used for storage of the vehicle and cannot be used to store perishable goods, living organisms, hazardous or flammable or dangerous materials, or substances listed in Schedules I through IV of of the federal Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
  • The facility owner is responsible for providing and maintaining security measures including electronic gate access, video camera surveillance, perimeter fencing and patrol, and pest control.
  • The customer must place and maintain their own insurance, including valid vehicle insurance, and must provide copies of the insurance certificates.
  • There are provisions for retrieval of the vehicle, both by the owner and by other persons approved by the owner.
  • The storage facility owner is not liable for loss of or damage to the vehicle except directly attributable to negligence by the facility.
  • The customer indemnifies and holds the facility harmless from any personal injury or death resulting from the customer's use of the storage unit.

Ontario Self Storage Contract

  • The rental cycle runs month to month. If the contract does not come into effect on the first of the month, rental fees for the initial month will be prorated.
  • The contract also provides for a security deposit, late fees, and license and permit fees to be paid by the customer.
  • The agreement can be terminated by either party on 30 days' written notice. If the customer breaches the agreement, the rental company can terminate on 7 days' written notice, or immediately if the customer uses the storage unit for illegal purposes.
