Florida Notice of Recommencement

If construction on your property is going to restart after a work stoppage, Florida law requires you to serve a Notice of Recommencement.

Purpose of the Notice of Recommencement

Under Section 713.13 of the Florida Statutes, a property owner must give notice to all parties with an interest in the property regarding the first day that construction, improvements or renovations on the property will commence. A Notice of Recommencement is used if the work was stopped and has been restarted.

The Notice sets out the details of the contractor, the surety, the guarantor and the work that is being performed on the property.
