What is a general warranty deed?

A general warranty deed is the usual form for conveyance of real estate in Louisiana. This type of deed offers the buyer a comprehensive level of protection against future claims and liens.

Louisiana warranty deeds may be referred to as Acts of Sales or Cash Sales. State laws do not require a statutory form of warranty deed.
