Wills and Estate Planning Forms
Download easy-to-use Will Kits, estate planning checklists, and provisional will clauses to help you write your Last Will and Testament. You can also find forms for executors.
Q. Do I really need to make a will?
A. If you own property or assets, you need to make a will. If you die intestate (without a legal will in place), your loved ones may be left with no choice but to apply to the court for letters of administration. The court will then decide how your estate will be divided up among your heirs. That division will be done in accordance with the laws of succession that govern in your area, and it may not be the way you would have distributed your property if you had had any say in the matter.
If you want to be the one who makes those decisions, you must make a properly executed will before you die. Your Last Will and Testament will then dictate who the beneficiaries of your estate will be, and how much of your estate each of them will receive.

- A native of Fall River, Massachusetts, Lizzie Borden was suspected of murdering her father and stepmother.
- Her trial was one of the most sensational in US history, due in large part to the fact that the person charged with the crime was a respectable church-going spinster who taught Sunday school.
- After Lizzie was found not guilty by a jury of locals in spite of a wealth of circumstantial evidence against her, she was socially ostracized by the community. She never married and lived a reclusive life until her death.
Ludwig van Beethoven Last Testament
Download a free copy of the Last Testament of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), the document known as the Heiligenstadt Testament. This document was translated into English from the original German.
- Beethoven was a German composer and pianist considered to be the most crucial figure in the transition period between the Classical and Romantic eras of Western classical music. He remains one of the most famous and influential composers of all time.
- In 1792 Beethoven settled in Vienna to study with Joseph Haydn, and he quickly gained a reputation as a virtuoso. Beethoven had planned to study with Mozart, but Mozart had died the year before.
- By 1802, Beethoven had written 32 piano sonatas, 2 symphonies, 18 string quartets, and 3 piano concertos. Sadly though, it is around this time that his hearing began to deteriorate significantly. He continued to compose, conduct, and perform, even after becoming completely deaf. His 9th Symphony, his final 7 piano sonatas and a set of string quartets were completed after he had lost his hearing.
- Although his personal life was troubled and he never married, he became the world's most renowned composer. He suffered from ill health for almost 20 years before his death, which led him to contemplate suicide. There are several theories as to what caused his death, but the most likely cause seems to be lead poisoning from treatments suggested by his doctor. His funeral was said to have been attended by more than 10,000 people.

Marilyn Monroe Last Will
Download this free copy of the Last Will of Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962).
- Marilyn Monroe, an American actress, singer and model, was born Norma Jeane Mortenson, but baptized Norma Jeane Baker.
- After spending much of her childhood in foster homes, Monroe began a career as a model, which led to a film contract in 1946. Her early roles were minor, but her performances in The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve (both 1950) were well received.
- She was praised for her comedic ability in such films as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire, Some Like It Hot and The Seven Year Itch, and became one of Hollywood's most popular and glamorous performers.
- The typecasting of Monroe's "dumb blonde" persona limited her career prospects, so she broadened her range. She studied at the Actors Studio and formed Marilyn Monroe Productions. Her dramatic performance in William Inge's Bus Stop was hailed by critics, and she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Some Like it Hot.
- The final years of Monroe's life were marked by illness, personal problems, and a reputation for being unreliable and difficult to work with. The circumstances of her death, from an overdose of barbiturates, have been the subject of conjecture. Though officially classified as a "probable suicide," the possibility of an accidental overdose, as well as the possibility of homicide, have not been ruled out.
- In 1999, Monroe was ranked as the sixth greatest female star of all time by the American Film Institute.
