West Virginia law prohibits landlords from entering rental properties without the consent of the tenant unless there is an emergency that requires the landlord to immediately deal with the situation. In any other circumstance, the landlord must give reasonable advance notice to enter the unit for maintenance, inspection, repairs, or to show the unit to prospective tenants prior to the end of the tenancy.
