Order for Presentence Investigation and Report (USA)
Obtain an Order directing the probation office to conduct a presentence investigation and report on a defendant with this District Court Form AO 246B.
- The probation officer must provide the report to legal counsel for both sides at least 35 days before sentencing.
- The attorneys then have 14 days to file any objections.
- At least 7 days before sentencing, the probation officer must submit the final report to the court.
